What happened

While True was explained as a stopping condition again cold and retaught with a two-fact table; the end-check loop was then handwritten unaided with no checklist for 4/4 on logic. Ran 13:06-13:44 against block 33 (consolidation, no new content); she said 'log it' at 13:44 once told the block was over. The cold check planned at 5 minutes ran 13:08-13:33 as a reteach. Cold say-back on while True: a wait until the lines below are false, wrong. Which line checks the password: 3. Lines 3-4 deleted, how many asks: 1 (it is forever; right on 6 Oct). After 'while asks a yes/no question each time round': can anything stop it, no; how many, forever; the way out, break. Open say-back again: the loop right, the stop-when-false half wrong. cat goes round, open stops, both right; asked to rewrite, the sentence came back the wrong way round. Table of line 1's fact against line 3's, then a two-gap frame: right first time. Two missing lines in a skeleton: logic right, colon missing. Handwritten 4-mark program, no checklist, no plan line asked for: set 13:38, agreed 13:44, photo 13:41, 4/4 on logic; colon missing on the if line, speech marks missing round quit (present on Bye), round brackets right. 14 items set, 14 attempted, 0 blank: 10 right first time (2 inside a frame or skeleton), 1 partial, 3 wrong at first ask. Not run: Code Lab 'Translate the pseudo-code', the trace from headings only, the cold why-hex (named in the opening plan, never asked), binary-to-decimal with working unasked, binary addition with the overflow sentence. Sessions 73 and 79 stay open: their handwritten loop is done, their Code Lab task is not. No status changes. Logged in parts because the full call returned Bad Gateway: the P05 evidence is a standalone update, the review is a shortened one, and the consolidates entry and P05 retrieval outcome (incorrect) could not be attached.

Planned next

FIRST, unfinished since 5 Oct: Code Lab 'Translate the pseudo-code' on her own - plan line as its own message and waited for, 3 runs at most. The handwritten loop is done (9 Oct, 4/4 on logic, no checklist). Before it, 5 min cold by the clock, one per message: 'which line can stop this loop, line 1 or line 3?', then one sentence on what while True does (wrong cold 6 and 9 Oct; right only in a two-gap frame). If the sentence is wrong, show the two-fact table once (line 1's fact is always true; line 3's decides) and move on - do not re-ask it open. Then the 2-mark why-hex, no cue. After Code Lab: one REPEAT...UNTIL trace with input, on paper, three headings only, first row typed before the photo. Still not run: binary-to-decimal with 'show the working' not said; binary addition by hand with the overflow sentence. Watch her next code for speech marks round the compared word and the colon on the if line.

Unfinished unfinished · closed

Handwritten loop now done (4/4, 9 Oct). Still not run: Code Lab 'Translate the pseudo-code' (cap 3 runs, plan line first); trace table from headings only, first row hers; cold 2-mark why-hex; binary-to-decimal (working unasked); binary addition with overflow sentence.
